ENERGIZING YUM EASY GREEN VEGETABLES

GREEN ENERGY SMOOTHIE

It’s not gross. It’s your daily dose of vegetables - finally. It’s easy. You can make it on the go before work in the morning. You can drink it in the car. The trick with smoothies for the best gut health is to chew while drinking them. Yes, you must mimic chewing the food up. I’ll write an article about why one day. For now, here’s my yum and easy green smoothie.

INGREDIENTS

1 banana

1/2 cucumber or 2-3 baby cucumbers

1 cup or 1 hand-full of spinach

Sml chunk of ginger

Sml chunk turmeric

1 Tbsp vanilla protein powder (whey/rice whatever your preference)

Tbsp (Good squeeze) of Honey

Fill mixing cup with coconut water

You can add whatever you like after this, blueberries (not green then though) or kale. I’ve tried left over vegetables like broccoli and carrots. The trick is don’t over think it.

Method or Madness?

Note: The banana & cucumbers are essential. These are powerful tastes and you can almost add anything to them.
Note: Spinach is used as it does not separate as easily as Kale.
Kale is also gross.
Note:
Coconut water is used as it is hydrating and has lots of vitamins. Water is terrible for your digestive system while eating. It dilutes your stomach acids and makes it harder to digest.

  • Put all ingredients into a blender and blend.

  • If you do not have one of those upside down blenders like a Nutribullet, feel free to chop or crush the ginger or turmeric up for consistency.

  • I designed this recipe to be quick, simply, mindless and easy to make it in 2 minutes and jump in the car. Don’t over think it. Just chuck the ingredients you know are healthy in and go. The base ingredients included should overpower the taste and it will balance it out. If not, add another banana. We encourage you to experiment and explore with curiosity!
