Temple of the Healing Arts
Foundations of Neshima
Jade Atia, the creator of Neshima, is a self-made, intuitively driven manifestor rising to the top. Harnessing her drive and passion, she has founded a trail-blazing collective that aims to evolve the spiritual, wellness and beauty industries as we know it. It all began with hairdressing.
Olive Eco Hair, Jade’s hairdressing salon has evolved over the years to integrate accumulated knowledge of spirituality, intuitive teachings and personal mindful practices. At the foundation, Jade uses ethically sourced and sustainable hair, skin and treatment products in the salon. This decision is to promote healthy microbiome, a calm epidermis and nourished hair. Further, doing her part for society, no hair is wasted when possible. It is donated to Sustainable Salons to be up-cycled into wigs. This was not enough for Olive Eco Hair. She was guided to flourish this business into something new.
Sensory treatments were manifested and birthed to experience. For every appointment and consultation, a ceremony and ritual are undertaken.
The Olive Ritual
A healing tea
A crystal hair comb with a set intention brushed through your hair to ready it’s release of energy
Aromatherapy oils
Shoulder, neck and scalp massage
I hear you asking, ‘my hairdresser does that.’
Not like this. The ritual is undertaken in the same process and impression as a meditation. It is to ready your system through physical, mental and energetic prompts for a holistic relaxation and release experience. Jade aims to integrate as many sensory focus points into each ritual as possible. This approach eases the nervous system and opens the chakras for energetic transferal.
From Hair to Vitality Collectives
It’s time for a much needed make over for what is considered “Holistic Wellness”. The Health and Beauty Industries over the years have grown towards monetised and inauthentic experiences. Historically, health and beauty corresponded with one another. The well-being benefits were then shared amongst the community. Nowadays, techniques are shared, but there’s a price. It’s either a price on authenticity and shaping the service to suit demand or a price-tag for the authenticity and health benefits.
Move over holistic wellness centres. Sayonara shopping centre massage parlour. Good bye “rejuvenating” day spas. There’s a new cowboy in town, creating space for Vitality Collectives. A space where authenticity, energetic frequency, passion and holistic body focusing are all integrated into one centre. The true impression of genuine relaxation is when alignment is achieved. Neshima’s approach aims to promote and encourage alignment through collaborations and shared energetic frequencies.
Jade’s journey began with hairstyling and has developed into holding sacred space for many healers. Her intention is to create centres for those aligned with ancient and spiritual methods to holistic wellness and intuitive healing. This space is intended to grow modern wellness and spiritual industries. The Vitality Collectives enable individual healers to gather collective consciousness, reserve space and be present with their frequency and aligned energetic fields.
This does not mean Jade has stepped away from Eco Olive Hair. Neshima holds space for Olive Eco Hair as a founding energetic frequency to magnetised those of similar intentions and aspirations. Neshima is cultivating devotional space for collaborators, in-house business locations, event & function sovereign energetic fields. Generally, spiritually aligned individuals with a passion for sharing their gifts and healing those seeking. These prospects for a collection vision and intention are aspirational and inspirational. A level of exclusivity has been placed upon Eco Olive Hair to ensure the energetic balance of the space and in turn will magnetise abundance.
Integrating Ancient & Spiritual Traditions into Modern Wellbeing Practices
Moroccan themes are cascaded around the Neshima headquarters. It has been inspired by the beauty and earthy tones, textures and colours. Although intuitively adopted, Haircare is held in high regard for wellbeing in the Moroccan culture. Beauty regime in Morocco has continued ancient culture by utilising only all natural products. Neshima hold the belief that nutrition of the hair and scalp is important for the holistic wellbeing of an individual. Each ingredient applied with specific intention. From Olive Eco Hair to Neshima Collective, the intuitive process has been aligned from the beginning.
How is hairdressing a spiritual practice?
Hair is spiritually connected and associated with your evolution and growth. ‘Hair holds energy.’ says Jade. Over humanity’s existence, there has been a focus on haircare on the scalp. Due to its location at the crown chakrah, it is believed that hair growth represents accumulated experience and karmic energy of an individuals life journey. Neshima believe when a person aligns with a hair change, it is time for a release of experience collected that we intuitively are ready to shed, when we feel we have grown, overcome something or “need a change”. Over her career, Jade has found that it is usual for clients to visit the hair salon when going through or just finished a drastic transformation. Typically, a drastic hair cut or colour change is the response. It’s a subconscious symbolic representation of Life’s journey. As it is located at the crown chakrah, it is considered linked with the higher self. This link is believed to provide glimpses of upcoming transformative periods. Hair represents a shift in frequency and may contribute to it as well. Colour changes are a prominent example of frequency shifts due to a change in hair. The colour representation could be from dull to vibrant, safe to sorry.
Olive Eco Hair have accepted the responsibility of intuitively assessing the readiness of the client. It can be a jarring experience for a person to “have their life turned upside down”, before they are prepared. The readiness of the client is assessed in the consultation. Olive Eco then assist by easing the journey as much as possible. Traditionally, hairdressers are taught to comply with the desires of the client. However, intuitively lead healers are encouraged to lead as such through alignment and guidance. Obvious indications are a client’s unwillingness, cyclical manner of desires, indecisiveness or monotonous conversation.
Native American culture believes that hair is Life’s Journey experience. It is only cut in ceremonial circumstances to represent a readiness to shed a portion of life experience. Some choose to keep this collected experience as wisdom in future. ‘There is wisdom in holding on to the knowledge,’ says Jade. Following the shedding of the hair, this culture will hold a burning ceremony to disintegrate the experience into the ethers. Fire burning is common globally in ancient traditions as representative of shedding the old. Hair is quite powerful in representation, perhaps other ways as well.
Aside from hair specific spiritual and ancestral practices, Neshima intends to approach the client from a holistic approach. Ceremony and ritual are vital for this. Every yoga session begins and ends with a ritual. This could easily be translated to opening and closing intentions. The intention of ritual is to prepare your energetic, psychological and physical systems for the process to receive the most benefits in all facets. Neshima have taken the approach to update spiritual teachings to align with modern society and lifestyle.
Each treatment ritual has been established with holistic intentions. Olive Eco Hair, the subsidiary of Neshima, focuses on targeting as many sensory receptors as possible. Our five senses influence our internal process from the external reality. By depriving our body of them or influencing each sensory experience intentionally, had incredibly relaxing, rejuvenating and evolutionary results.
Transcend Through Gaia Treatment
Neshima’s subsidiary, Olive Eco Hair, released their latest treatment for the optimal sensory experience. Transcend Through Gaia is a complete immersion into the mind. By depriving the senses, sight, sound and touch an amazing experience of insight and relaxation is experienced.
Cultivated through intuition, this treatment was one of the most interesting and refreshing experiences I’ve ever encountered. It begins with blocking out your eyes and ends with awakening your sense totally renewed. The key ingredient? Vibrocoustic Therapy.
You are laid in a recliner chair with the vibrocoustic pillow behind your back.
A warm blanket placed over you to feel warm and cosy.
A crystal eye mask is placed on. On top of that, a warm towel.
Headphones that are synchronised with the vibrocoustic pillow are placed on your ears.
Select music and sounds that resonate with you. This synchronises the sound and pillow vibrations to target a touch sensory experience direct to the nervous system through the spine. I liken it to a holistic binaural beats.
Aromatherapy spray to invigorate your nasal cavity.
A head massage to focus your attention away from the external reality and toward your internal.
Finished with an antioxidant floral waterfall.
I transcended alright. I recommend this treatment to absolutely everyone. At first, the experience of sensory deprivation was jarring. It felt extremely vulnerable and I had to actively calm my nervous system. Following this, it was as if my thoughts were a movie playing with vivid detail on a cinema screen in my mind. Each individual will experience their thoughts differently as they arise. However, it is blatantly obvious the topics, to do lists and worries that arise in your internal reality. It was truly incredible. Comparatively, the vibroacoustic pillow was unmatched with other sensory deprivation techniques such as magnesium bath floats. Consider the relaxation you get from deep breathing, being in nature or binaural frequency YouTube videos on steroids. A rush of relaxation similar to sudden bursts of adrenalin. Be mindful, this is also related to how well you can regulate your internal system. The vibroacoustic pillow directly “injects” or vibrates the frequencies associated with the sounds you are listening to into your spinal cord, in turn your entire nervous system is on the same frequency concurrently. This aligns your sensory system.
Coming out of the treatment, my entire being felt like I hadn’t walked for a few days. It felt as though I was floating on air. As light as a feather. However, has grounded into the earth as a rock. It was the most refreshing mental and physical rest, similar to that of the most wonderful nap of complete rejuvenation. It took a moment to process the insights I had received of my thoughts and to adjust my being to the energetic shift I experienced. I felt inspired. I felt free.
Temple of the Healing Arts
Neshima is considered a modern day Temple of the Healing Arts. The intention is to hold space, both physically and energetically for aligned healers. A safe sanctuary where knowledge, gifts and energetic healings are shared with those who seek it. A temple is a sacred space where these all occur. In modern times, worship, seeking wisdom and healing has moved away from a “religious paradigm” of figures outside of ourselves, to a perspective of the internal and connection with all other things.
Of late, we have grown to consider the concept of co-creation as a shared responsibility and credibility to both ourselves and a “force” or “source” known by many names. It is integrating the belief of relinquishing control of situations and circumstances outside of ourselves and accepting the control of our actions in response. This interaction extends to the concepts of healers. As part of their desire to contribute to the union and co-creation, healers assist on behalf of others sharing their gifts where an individual may lack.
In holding this space, Jade acquires tenants through resonance with their work or teachings. Holding this space with an accumulated knowledge and wisdom for holistic wellbeing will ultimately result in a collective energetic field. Traditionally, temples are constructed for this means. To accumilate a collective energetic field for influence on those that encounter it immediately. This field is holds power and influence itself. Moving away from the modern concept of a healer, such as a doctor, healers could be in any industry. This is not an exclusive job title. It is a character description. This is why resonance and intuitive guidance through co-creation is important. It is in order to move away from normalised societal paradigms that are disconnecting humanity. Any woman will tell you how therapeutic and relaxing it is to have your hair done, but is it considered “healing”? Creating space for this collective of characters looking to heal and empower people will be cultivated energy unlike anything we have seen before.
Neshima holds space for everything from Kundalini yoga sessions and new moon ceremonies to acupuncture and naturopathy. Anything in the world of holistic wellness that is aligned with Neshima’s path. We encourage you, if this resonated with you, to reach out to Neshima for collaboration opportunities.
